The Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio & Quilt Shop is Sponsoring a Bed Turning Event at The Dodge County Center for the Arts during The Wisconsin Arts & Peony Festival on Saturday, June 8, in Downtown Beaver Dam Wisconsin, with presentations staring at 11am, and 1 pm.
A Bed-Turning is a way to display quilts while telling their story. Bed turnings originated long ago as a social event. Quilts are placed on top of one another on a bed. The hosts then turn back each quilt, one by one, as stories are shared about each quilt.
In addition to the Bed Turning Event during The Wisconsin Arts & Peony Festival, the Dodge County Center for the Arts (DCCA) and the Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio & Quilt Shop are collaborating to again bring us this year’s Quilt Challenge Exhibit at the DCCA this May and June.
The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show “40 Years of Sewing With Nancy” Quilt Challenge Contest Exhibit showcases the works of quilters from all over the country in honor of Nancy Zieman and her love of quilting and the affect she had on those around her.
Stop in during The Wisconsin Arts & Peony Festival, and during normal DCCA hours. You won’t be disappointed!
